You make me smile, even in the midst of... So maybe I can return the favor. My dear friend Kathleen, and her partner Hank adopted a dog from the rescue center close to 2 years after losing Kathleen's last dog. She's loving, and maybe not the brightest - they live on the Russian River and there was a storm that brought the water about 200 feet from the edge and covered the garden (still waiting to hear if there was damage to their basement). Anyway, Kathleen had set up in advance a place for the dog to do her business on the little deck, but without Kathleen or Hank knowing it, she was oblivious to the water and went down the stairs and ended up in the water. Hank had to go in and rescue her or she would have been carried out to the Pacific! Makes carrying toilet paper through the house seem like a lark. Anyway, after they rescued her she started to more overtly exhibiting some interesting behavior, including what kind of looked like nesting. So they took her to the vet at the rescue center and sure enough she was carry 3 puppies! They were told she might deliver in 2-3 weeks, but no, she delivered just other day. I can show you a picture at church on Sunday.
